DRIGGS-REED MEMORIAL AIRPORT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT

Land Acquisition and Shift of Runway 4/22 EA

Welcome to the virtual self-guided Open House for the Land Acquisition and Shift of Runway 4/22 Environmental Assessment (EA)

Overview

The Driggs-Reed Memorial Airport is owned and operated by the City of Driggs, Idaho. As the sponsor, the City of Driggs, is proposing a land acquisition and shift of Runway 4/22 to improve safety by addressing deficiencies of Runway 4/22 safety areas and bringing the southwest end of the Runway into compliance with FAA standards.

The draft Environmental Assessment (EA) identifies the potential environmental impacts resulting from the Proposed Action, as well as how these impacts can be avoided, minimized, or mitigated. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the lead agency on the project; as such, the EA has been prepared pursuant to FAA requirements for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

The links below provide access to the Draft EA, Department of Transportation Section 4(f) evaluation, and a public involvement presentation providing a summary of the EA. The public is invited to provide comment on the draft EA during the public comment period, June 20, 2021 to July 20, 2021. Comments can be submitted according to the instructions below.
