Statewide Airport Economic Impact Study

Welcome

Welcome to the official information web portal for the Minnesota Statewide Airport Economic Impact Study. The Study will be conducted over 18 to 24 months, and will document economic contributions, tax revenues, and other benefits supported by airports in Minnesota.

The process is a collaborative effort involving airports; the communities served by those airports; the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Office of Aeronautics; the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); and other regional, state, and federal organizations and groups with aviation, transportation, and economic interests. The Economic Impact Study will estimate jobs, payroll, spending, and total annual economic activity associated with each airport. The study will also estimate statewide and local tax revenues that are associated with each airport.

The Office of Aeronautics has contracted with Jviation, an aviation consulting firm, to conduct this study. You can obtain more information from Jviation’s or MnDOT’s project managers: Barb Fritsche at barb.fritsche@jviation.com or Chris Morgan at christopher.morgan@state.mn.us
